In the IRS’s e-News for Small Businesses issued on May 13, 2010, they provided links to information about tax relief in disaster situations specific for Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, North Dakota, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and West Virginia. With the severe storms and flooding in those areas this spring, some victims may qualify for tax relief that includes postponed filing dates and penalty waivers.
